Function of the C.T. Self-Cleaning HEPA Filter Units

The filter unit has a consistent modular design. When one module is removed from the air flow and the HEPA cassette is cleaned with a nozzle carriage, the other modules remain in filter
operation.

The filter system includes a cyclone effect, in order to recover most of the dust to be filtered before it reaches the filter media of the first HEPA filter stage.

The second HEPA filter stage is a mere security filter which does not need to be cleaned.

The cleaning cycles take place off-line, in order to recover fine dusts and aerosols effectively.

HEPA filter function

Dust Recovery

The recovered dust can be removed safely during filter unit operation while complying with the OEL requirements of Levels 1 to 5.

Self-Cleaning C.T. HEPA Filter Units in Comparison with Conventional Pulse Jet Filter Systems

C.T. Self-Cleaning HEPA Filter Units

Are designed to filter fine dusts and aerosols that occur in pharmaceutical production, due to:
– their modular unit concept which makes the necessary off-line dedusting of aerosols possible
– the HEPA filter cassettes used

Conventional Pulse Jet Filter Units

Are designed to filter coarser dust particles that are released in industrial processes, due to:
– their unit concept of on-line dedusting = gravimetric dust recovery against the air flow and
– the filter elements

“There simply is no other product with a better performance on the market.”

The use of pulse jet filter systems is:
– restricted in fine dust and aerosol filtering processes and
– has little to offer with regard to containment requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
